In ANNIE, the main character's canine companion is a mutt off the street. In reality, Sunny, who stars as Sandy on Broadway, was discovered in a shelter during a nation-wide search by animal trainer Bill Berloni. Now, in honor of October being Adopt-a-Dog month, ANNIE and the Pedigree Brand are teaming up to encourage those looking to add a dog to their family to also choose shelters by offering two free tickets to the show to those who adopt.

An Exclusive with ANNIE Dog Trainer Bill Berloni


With nothing else to guide him but a youth spent with animals on his family’s farm and a philosophy of positive reinforcement, Berloni taught himself how to teach animals, eventually becoming an expert in his field. He has since trained every Sandy in every production of ANNIE on Broadway.
