Jenni Barber Will Join Broadway's ANNIE Aug. 20

Jenni Barber, who recently concluded her run in Douglas Carter Beane's The Nance, will take over the role of Grace Farrell in the Broadway revival of ANNIE beginning Aug. 20 at the Palace Theatre. Barber (The Performers, ...Spelling Bee) will step in for original revival cast member Brynn O'Malley, who is set to star in the upcoming Jason Robert Brown musical Honeymoon in Vegas, which premieres at the Paper Mill Playhouse Sept. 26. Barber will remain with the production through Nov. 3, at which point O'Malley is expected to return to ANNIE.

Broadway's New ANNIEs Invade Bryant Park

106.7 Lite FM continued its annual lunchtime theatre summer series, '106.7 Lite FM's Broadway in Bryant Park.' Featured on August 8th was the cast of ANNIE (Sadie Sink, Taylor Richardson, Gaby Bradbury, Tyrah Skye Odoms, Emily Rosenfeld, Brooklyn Shuck, Amaya Braganza, and Danette Holden), performing "Maybe," "Little Girls," "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile," and "Tomorrow."

Homegrown Houston Talent Sadie Sink Talks ANNIE

The first requirement of any girl that steps into the role of Annie is that they have to be totally adorable. With a kind demeanor and sweet charm, former Houston-area actress Sadie Sink has no problems in that domain. On Friday morning, BroadwayWorld got to chat with the 11-year-old starlet who is now sharing the titular role with Taylor Richardson in the Broadway production of ANNIE. In their brief talk, Sadie discussed how she got started acting and what it is like playing Annie in both Houston and in New York City.

Taylor Richardson and Sadie Sink to Share Title Role Starting July 30

Taylor Richardson, who currently plays orphan Duffy in the Broadway revival of ANNIE, and Sadie Sink, a standby in the production, will graduate to the title role in the Tony Award-nominated revival at the Palace Theatre. The duo will begin to share the role of Annie July 30.

Original star Lilla Crawford will play her final performance July 28, and Australian actor Anthony Warlow (Oliver Warbucks) has extended his contract with the production through Dec. 8.
